Corato I Pizza & Restaurant
Corato Pizza Corato I Pizza is one of the favorite local pizzerias in Queens (and Brooklyn), located at 66-94 Fresh Rd, Ridgewood, NY 11385. Described as a neighborhood gem by our regular customers, we strive towards creating the perfect pizza experience. As a pizza restaurant, our goal is to continue the years old tradition of serving the best pizza in NYC. Corato I Pizza accepts orders online for pickup and delivery. Times Gone By In 1959, the founders Sal Leo and Richard Ferrucci came to America. Their dream was to open an Italian pizza restaurant and share their family recipes with everyone in New York. When that dream came true in 1988, they named the restaurant after their home town in Italy. In 1998, the pizza restaurant was bought by Marco Cerbone, who started working there when he was 14 years old. It’s still owned by him and his son, Marco Jr. And even though Italian cuisine is not a novelty anymore in Ridgewood, the unique history and high-quality of Corato’s food is still recognizable today. The Neighborhood Brooklyn, New York, has a long and dynamic relationship with pizza. In this corner of the city, we always find new ways of serving, preparing, and reinventing food. In fact, as time went by pizza became a part of our cultural identity. Hence, when the first Corato pizzeria in Ridgewood was opened more than 60 years ago, we knew this is the best place for our customers and us. The Menu On our menu, you can find everything from Neapolitan, Sicilian, and Deep-dish pizza to the classic Grandma & Grandpa pie and pizzette. Of course, we offer delicious soups and scrumptious appetizers as well. The Reviews Last but not least, we want to share some customer impressions that may give you a better idea of our commitment to quality: I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've gotten here. I love how many ravioli options they offer and have tried their smoked mozzarella asparagus one. I've also had their grilled veggie panini, which is just perfect. The bread they use has a nice toasty bottom and a top that has light garlic seasoning on it. You get a decent serving of grilled portobello mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, and fresh mozzarella too. For sides, I recommend their zucchini sticks and macaroni cheddar poppers. The portion size is generous for the price and both are super satisfying accompaniments. I look forward to trying more of their super extensive menu. They've always been reliable with delivery as well. Kristine A. from Glendale, Queens, NY via Yelp I had to write this review because I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of their pizza. Ordering after 11 PM, I had set my expectations for a mediocre pizza option in Bushwick. I was shocked at the quality. This is the best pizza in the area. Got a plain pie, absolute perfection. Great work guys - have this 5-star review! Peter B. from Brooklyn, NY via Yelp OMG! Talk about hitting the spot! Corato's made my night! I'm a pregnant woman who had a specific craving and lately when I've had cravings and order delivery (from other places), it's been a fail! Corato came up as a suggestion when I searched and even though they are far from me, they came through! First, the order came before the ETA, that's a major plus. Second, the food came hot and steamy and clearly freshly made! Three, the flavor was explosive! We ordered the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce, penne a la vodka with shrimp and the Romana pizzette. ALL of it was DELICIOUS! Believe me, as a pregnant woman, and my taste buds are supercritical. THIS WAS A WIN! Oh, and the delivery guy was professional and cordial. Thank you, Corato's!
